APRIL 2005

CPR Heartsaver & Healthcare Provider Course (Adult, Child, Infant levels)

Northern Maine Medical Center offers a 2-year certification from the American Heart Association for CPR. If you are interested in becoming certified in CPR, please contact the Education Department. There are 2 levels of training: 1) Heartsaver (Adult, Child & Infant) is geared for the lay person and 2) Healthcare Provider (Adult, Child & Infant) is geared for the professional as this certification includes AEDs (defibrillators).

Smoking Cessation "Fresh Start" Course
(Designed by American Cancer Society)

Northern Maine Medical Center offers monthly smoking cessation classes which consists of 4 one-hour sessions. If you want help in trying to quit, contact NMMC's Education Department at 834-3155, ext. 3123, or Denise Michaud, at Fraser Papers, at 728-8228.
