Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging technology to diagnose and treat disease. Northern Maine Medical Center’s Radiology and Imaging Department offers a wide range of diagnostic testing for both inpatients and outpatients. The services provided are diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopy (live imaging), Digital Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, 64 slice CT, general and vascular diagnostic ultrasound, bone density, and large bore MRI with ultra-short system length.  With a radiologist certified by the American College of Radiology and a staff skilled in performing exams utilizing the latest technology, you can expect excellent service and the highest quality of clinical care.

Through a partnership with St. Lawrence Radiology Associates, Β Dr. Alan Mautz will be working directly with patients at NMMC on a weekly basis, performing Radiological procedures and reading imaging results. This amazing partnership expands access to critical services which may otherwise not be available in our area. Dr. Mautz lives in Central Aroostook County with his family and has already proven to be an amazing asset to NMMC in the short time he has been with us.
